But it’s not just about what you give; it’s also about what you gain. Volunteering at our hospital is a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth. You’ll learn new skills, forge lasting friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of the healthcare field. Moreover, the sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing you’ve helped someone during a vulnerable moment is immeasurable.

Your time, compassion, and commitment can truly change lives, and in the process, you’ll find that it changes your own life as well.
Barb Dilley has been volunteering for 17 years at CPH in many capacities. She is an integral part of the volunteer administrative office, and was one of the first volunteers in the No One Dies Alone program. She has over 6,000 hours of volunteer service at CPH. Barb is known by many in the community as a retired teacher. Many employees were students of hers throughout the years. Barb is one of the most giving, and kind people you would ever meet. She has been, and continues to be an asset, not only to CPH, but the community as a whole.

Volunteers are persons who give the gift of themselves and of their time to do something in which they believe; people who by their actions, not just their words, are ready to help where help is needed; and people who are ready to serve where service is needed.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience. It is an opportunity to share, to learn and to make a commitment to a vision. Volunteers are vital to help us provide all the services our patients and residents enjoy and deserve.
Our 30 year old volunteer program is expanding with our hospital and we need you to grow with us!
SCHOLARSHIPS
Central Peninsula Hospital is proud to support the dreams of high school seniors within our service area who aspire to make a difference in the medical field. Each year, we award two exceptional students with $4,000 scholarships. These scholarships are not only a financial boost but an investment in the future of healthcare.
If you are a high school senior in our service area with a GPA of 2.0 or better and are on the path to a medical degree, you are eligible to apply. We believe in nurturing talent, and this scholarship is designed to help you embark on a journey towards becoming a doctor, nurse, dentist, physician assistant, or any other healthcare professional.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our community, and we highly value their contributions. We believe in giving credit where it’s due, and volunteer applicants are more likely to be awarded these scholarships.
Our scholarships are made possible through the dedicated efforts of our volunteers, who tirelessly raise funds in various ways, notably through our Care Package gift shop.
